A mixed week for the Pedlars, a great mid week encounter at Thetford and then disappointment in the FA Cup. Two goals for on form Ryan Pearson at Brandon Road, the first a knock in from eight yards on the stroke of half time, Alex Vincent's cross blocked but not evacuated, Pearson dispatching with ease. The second a magical finish in the fifty sixth minute, Tommy Rix with a long kick, Ben Coe heading on, Pearson controlling and lobbing the keeper from sixteen yards. Thetford collecting a consolation goal two minutes later but the Pedlar defence held firm to take all three points.
At the weekend, the high winds a spoiler for both sides, the Pedlars playing the better football but losing out to a seventy eighth minute goal. Superb hospitality from our hosts, Biggleswade United, we wish them the very best for their progress in the competition.
A tough week ahead in the League for the Pedlars, two home fixtures, Tuesday Norwich United, Saturday Woodbridge Town. The visitors currently sitting first and second in the League, the Pedlars a respectable fifth.
The Reserves open their Hadley and Ottaway Division Two account Tuesday evening away to Hingham and then travel to Buxton on Saturday.
A promising pre-season for the Under 18's away to Ely City, Thomas Wagg scoring the only goal in the match. Thursday they host Lakenheath in their last preparation game before starting their season.
